How To Clean My Phones Speaker (iPhone/Android)
You’re probably used to keep your phone clean, but if your speaker mesh is dirty then you might not be able to hear anything or hear low sounds. Luckily, this isn’t a complicated process! Here are some tips for cleaning out your iPhone’s speaker: If you have an iPhone, then you may have noticed that the speaker gets dirty easily. This can make your phone sound muffled or garbled, which is annoying and potentially dangerous if it happens while you’re driving (you won’t be able to hear directions). The good news is that cleaning out your phone’s speaker is easy! All you need is a little bit of rubbing alcohol(under 60% alcohol), some Q-tips, and an old toothbrush.
But there are some other tools you can use such as;
- Tissue Paper
- Soft cloth
- Tooth Brush
- Ear cotton buds or Q-tips
- Scotch tape
- Toothpick
- Paintbrush (soft brush)
Tip 1: Tissue paper
Remove your phone back cover and turn off your phone. Then clean the speaker with tissue paper. This will get rid of any loose dirt or dust that’s on your phone’s speaker. Just use a tissue and rub it gently over the surface of the speaker until it’s clean again.
Tip 2: Toothpick or Cotton swab
Use a toothpick or cotton swab to scrape away any dirt or debris that is lodged deep inside your phone’s speaker holes.
-The goal here is not just to clean out the surface of your phone, but also to clean out any nooks and crannies where dirt has built up over time.
Tip 3: Scotch tape
-Cut a piece of scotch tape about half an inch long.
-Fold it over, sticky side out, and stick the folded edge into the speaker hole.
-Gently drag it across the surface of the speaker to collect any dirt or dust particles that may have stuck there during regular use.
Tip 4: ToothBrush
Using the ToothBrush; A toothbrush is a great tool for cleaning out your phone’s speaker. You can use the soft bristles to scrape some of the dirt and grime off of your phone so you don’t have to worry about it damaging anything when you start working on it. The only problem with using a toothbrush is that it might scratch up the surface of your speaker if you’re not careful.
After you clean it with a dry Toothbrush, then use some rubbing alcohol in it and again scrub the speaker with the toothbrush.
Rubbing Alcohol (make sure it got under 60% alcohol)
-Clean the area around your speaker with a soft cloth or tissue paper. This will remove any dirt or dust that may have accumulated in the crevices of your phone during regular use.
-Wipe down your phone’s speaker with some rubbing alcohol, being sure not to get any liquid into the slot where you plug in headphones or power cords or deep into the speaker.
And then use a soft cloth to wipe off the excess alcohol. You can also use rubbing alcohol on a cotton swab to clean out the speaker holes.
Tip 5: Vacuum Cleaner
Use A Vacuum Cleaner If you want to get really serious about cleaning out your speaker, then you should grab a vacuum cleaner from home and use it to suck up any dust or dirt that’s inside of it. Just make sure that the vacuum cleaner is turned off before plugging it in so that you don’t damage your phone by accident.
You can use any of these tools to clean your phone’s speaker, but they’re all less effective than rubbing alcohol. So if you want to make sure you get every last bit of dirt off, then we recommend using it.
For example; if you have tissue paper, gently wipe the area around the speaker with it and then use alcohol on a Q-tip to clean out the grill itself. You may also want to consider using a toothbrush with soft bristles so that you don’t scratch or damage your phone’s surface.
Now enjoy your speaker sound more than before!
